This course features a winding path to the crest of bunker hill and a beautiful morning view of a spring sunrise over Clinton lake. A jaunt through the woods includes a chance to get your feet wet. After emerging from the trees you once again summit Bunker Hill, keeping your eyes open for Sky Clintie. After bounding down Bunker hill with the finish line in sight, your journey is complete and the celebration may begin.
This year, we are also adding an option to register your canine running partner, with all the proceeds from their registration going to the Humane Society. A hearty breakfast will be available at the finish, awards for first three male and female finishers, and finisher's medals for all runners.
The race will begin and end at the southwest corner of Campground Three. This is the same area that hosts the West Park Road aid station in the Hawk Hundred, 50 and 26.2 Mile Trail Races. Parking will be in the grassy field next to camp site 501.
This is a challenging, scenic course that lives up to the race moniker "Short enough for beginners; hard enough for veterans." Enjoy the wonderful views of lake, park, and sky from the top of Bunker Hill! Sign up at ultrasignup.com if you haven't already, and holler at Race Director Hollie with any questions.
Thanks for your interest and we hope to see you there!
Hollie "Joy Hawk" Davis, Race Director
